Another day in Borneo's jungle. The rhythm here is rhinoceros bird wake up call at daybreak, morning trek while the sun lies too low to be hot, midday siesta, mid-afternoon thunder showers, then evening and night time treks to watch the animals come out and play and eat under cooling skies.
Rhinoceros hornbill, king of the Borneo birds. He wears his one horned crown over his beak, a great way to attract a mate.
Boat safaris create the best animal viewing opportunities. Everything needs to come down by the river for a drink and crocodiles keep that experience from being routine. When the boat glides under a tree don't look up - overhead monkeys like to pee and defecate on those below.

Kingfishers are the jungle's most colorful residents.
