Yesterday evening we reached the Andaman Sea off Thailand's
southwestern coast. We put our bags down at a place called Krabi. Limestone
towers rise as Nature's fortifications, protecting tropical vegetation
and isolating sandy strips along the water. Most visitors hire boats from
persistent boatmen who hang around Krabi's waterfront promenade. The boats
carry people to offshore, private beaches. |
At Krabi we find broad sweeps of sand, limestone cliffs,
and forested hills.
|
Take a shaded mototaxi ride along Krabi's waterfront.
Many hotels spread along the coast and motorized transport, either boats
or moto-taxi, is needed.
