Back in Quito, we'll spend a few days here arranging a Galapagos trip and adjusting to the high altitude of the rugged Andes. A hundred boats sail around the Galapagos islands; we're looking for a last minute deal. These deals can go as low as 1/3 of the price offered in the USA, yet any Galapagos trip will cost at least $1000 per person (including airfare to the islands - the sailing starts once you're there).
Church
builders love to erect churches on hills and in Quito it's no different. The main
cathedral commands the best views of town.

Because it's laid back
Ecuador, no one cares if you climb the tallest spire and hang over the balcony
Quasimodo-style. | |||
