|We enjoy easy living on the ferryboat. Our fare includes lunch and dinner, served by the boat's cook on a picnic table wedged between the engine and bathroom cabins. The cook serves beans, meat, chicken stew, rice, and noodles. From what we have heard, each ferry boat gives the cook some money at the beginning of the journey for supplies - a big job in a small ferryboat kitchen. At mealtimes, the passengers cram into the table and share the food family style, elbowing each neighbor with every bite.|
Laundry on deck, if the wind blows hard the dolphins will get some new socks.
Near Brazil's border with Peru and Colombia, the Amazon channel is still dark and narrow.
Beautiful sunsets every night.
