|Still in Antigua trying to learn how to habla Espanol, we siesta in the town square and watch people. Guatemala is the best place to see the indigenous Mayans. About 40% of the population wears traditional dress and speaks a Mayan language. Distinctions between Indian versus European heritage and culture has troubled the region since the conquistadors arrival. It still divides Guatemalan society today.|
Use these garments as a shawl, beach towel, or blanket, one size fits all!
My Mayan friends and I have noticed that you keep wearing the same drab backpacker clothes. How about adding a splash of color to that wardrobe, Yankee?
