|Who else would brave Easter traffic (that's like going into downtown Los Angeles at rush hour during the Olympics) to travel across a country, 10 hours, just to see a parade? Well, we've done dumber things but it seems we try to outdo ourselves. Buses packed to bursting, we crossed the border into Guatemala, our faces pressed into other people's armpits, an unpleasant place to have been under the best of circumstances and this was without AirCon. Dumped at the halfway point by the first bus, we can't board the next bus because it stopped entering cities on its route due to overcrowding. Easter is a big holiday and travel day in Guatemala.|

Easter Parade, Antigua. One float and a lot of firecrackers.
