By gathering all available timber on Qatar's peninsula, you could build a modest bonfire. Camel racing is a major spectator sport in Qatar.
The camels race down a 15 km track while 4 WD vehicles run alongside the track for a view.
Fans and little camel jockeys crowd the stands. While the camels gallop from view, the people watch close-circuit television of the race.
Kids, no older than 10, race the camels despite child labor reformers that try to make this practice illegal.
