Kruger Park occupies as much ground as Israel, so we can't see the whole park, though we try. Most people see Kruger from the comfort of their own vehicles. Pay 30 Rand ($4 US) entry fee and drive around paved roads, scanning the brush for wildlife. Visitors must be back in camp by nightfall. Our driver, Big Boy, takes us around in our truck; we have better views than anyone in cars but our loud engine disturbs the animals. We were saddened to see a lot of fire damage, but none of these fires came near us (we heard that ten people lost their lives today to Kruger brush fires).
Cape Buffalo sunset.
Wildebeest, warthogs, and whino, but no wabbits.
A real peckerhead: The Ground Hornbill
