We leave Namibia's Skeleton coast and drive inland through scrubby desert. If you need a tan around here, wear radiation proof sunblock 1000 - it's hot!
The only things cool out here are the rock formations...
...or rock pictures that are thousands of years old, bushman grafiti. These paintings are made from ochre, blood, ostrich yolk, and euphorbia sap. It must be a potent mixture to last this long in the baking sun.
Only found in Namibia, the kokerboom is a species of aloe plant. Many people call it the "Quivertree" because local bushmen use its hollow branches to hold arrows.
