We wanted to jump in an underwater cage and watch great white sharks, however, rough weather canceled these plans. Instead we hiked around the Mossel Bay Coast where Dias and Vasco de Gama, Portugese explorers, landed 500 years ago as they opened up the world to European exploration.
Years ago these limestone rocks formed from sediment on the ocean floor. Continental drift has pushed the flat rocks into steep, vertical cliffs.
