In Namibia's geographical center lies the capital, Windhoek. Like all Namibian cities, its population is small, only 130,000 people, however it offers all modern amenities. We arrived here last night and spent today walking down broad avenues and pedestrian malls.
The city centre is characterised by a mix of German colonial structures and pastel-coloured modern buildings.
Most capital cities are adorned with monuments and statues. Only Windhoek has a monument dedicated to kudus lost in an antelope plague.
