Another day of Mongolian bonanza. We trotted and cantered for 45 km,
passing mostly grassland and small clumps of trees that crown the modest
hillsides. By now I've fallen off my horse another two times. Once I almost
performed a Lone Ranger style "High-Ho Silver!" - the horse's
two front legs rose high into the air and I rolled of its backside. Jill's
horse-riding record is still pristine, she hasn't fallen off so her riding
breeches are clean. |

Our horse guide does a good 'High Ho Silver' impression of my fall. |

We think the English term for these prairie dog looking animals are 'marmuts,' but we can't quite understand our guide to know for sure. |
