| Death march tour day. Starting with a 5 am wakeup, we visited the Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens, Temples of Hatsheput, Karnak, and Luxor, ending with a Karnak sound and light show at 10 pm. The excellent state of these ancient places is stunning, much better than ruins elsewhere. The Karnak and Luxor temples are true Ancient wonders. The Egyptians win the gold medal for temples and tombs. If only we were in such good condition after this long touring day; we fell into our beds and slept like mummies. |
