August 24 Drive to Great Zimbabwe ruins (13th century) Best archaelogical site south of Sahara.
August 25 Enter the Eastern Highlands, camp at Chimanimani, a name which refers to the narrow gap where the Msapa river flows through the range between Zimbabwe and Mozambique
August 26 Chimanimani National Park: forests, waterfalls, pools, large baboon, eland, duiker, klipspringer, and water buck populations.
August 27 Leave Zimbabwe at Mutare. Enter Mozambique.

October 19 - 21 Sefofane charter from Vic Falls to Hwange National Park. Three nights on safari in the Little Makalolo Tented Camp
October 22 - 24 Another Sefofane charter, this time from Hwange to the Mana Pools. Three nights canoeing with James Varden, who is the best guide in Zimbabwe (as we learned on the last year's trip).
October 25 Catch flight to Senegal.
