We travel to the lush, equatorial region
of the Guinea coast. Yamoussoukro, the capital, lies
deep in the African bush. It has the world's most incongruous
building - a vast basilica that is higher than Rome's
St. Peter basilica and has a dome 3 times larger than
St. Paul's dome in London.
We drive south to the coast, exploring
tribal areas. Then we enter the modern city of Abidjan
which has a sophisticated nightlife and restaurants,
much needed after weeks in the African bush.
